Matters of the Heart

She sits here trying to cleanse her heart of pain
Pain caused by the ego, an ego with a mind of its own
She tries to study the ways of peace, hoping to obtain it one day
She prays hoping for forgiveness, hoping for deliverance
Deliverance from jealousy and expectations
She prays for freedom, freedom from the world
Freedom from lust, freedom from lust with hopeful expectations of Love
She wants only to love what is permanent, what is constant, what is real
She wants to appreciate the rain, without thoughts of another
She wants to feel complete gratitude for the lovely
She wants to be blind to the tormented
She wants to see things for what they really are, temporary pleasures
She wants to be satisfied with pleasure, and in love with Truth
She wants to be rid of self-judgment, she wants to be aware
She wants to be aware of perception, illusions, and reality
She wants to be content with her existence
She wants freedom, freedom of the mind, body, emotions, sins…
She wants to free her soul
She wants peace; she wants to be at peace with herself and with others
True peace to love the lovely, to be satisfied with pleasure, and to disregard the torment
